Please try the following steps:
1/ Confirm eligibility US
Microsoft requires nonprofit organizations (like churches with bona fide nonprofit status and tax-exempt identification) to be eligible for the Nonprofit program in the US (IRS 501(c)(3) equivalence).

2/ Register your organization
Please visit the Microsoft Nonprofit Portal and click Apply or Get Started. You’ll be asked to provide:
- Legal organization name
- Address and website
- Contact details
3/ Creation or conversion of Microsoft 365 Tenant
After validation:
- If new: A nonprofit-specific Microsoft 365 tenant is created.
- If existing: You can convert your current tenant to nonprofit status. This is done through the Nonprofit Hub, Steps outlined under “Registration and Validation”.

4/ Access the nonprofit hub and license plans
Once approved, log into the Nonprofit Hub to view offers:
- Free grant licenses (e.g., Business Basic for up to 300 users).
- Deeply discounted licensed plans, such as Microsoft 365 Business Premium.

5/ Purchase and assign licenses
- Go to Microsoft 365 Admin Center → Choose Marketplace.
- View nonprofit-specific offers under grants and discounts.
- Select applicable license type (e.g., Business Basic, Business Premium), choose quantity, and check out.
- Once licenses are provisioned, assign them to user accounts through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
