when i install the app it asks for login, once I logged in it displays the normal application with normal UI(First Screenshot). And then a popup message appears of Privacy Settings Applied which shows in the second screenshot and after that once i close the app and open again the interface of the app is changed it only shows the recent files. And when the interface is changed the data updation takes longer time like sometime 30mins and sometime even hour and more. I havr contacted the Microsoft coustomer support but this issue is new for them and they are saying like it is your phone software problem but I have checked in 3 devices Samsung S21+, Vivo V60 pro and Samsung S24 Ultra all are facing same problem once the pop up message appears the interface changes and this all is happening after the app update of 17 Dec 2025 before that the app was working absolutely fine. Is there any solution for this and is there anyone who has face this same issue, cause I will not be the one to face this glitch or some interface problem and it is unnoticed by Microsoft Devloper team.

    Hi Nayan Chhabhaiya,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A forum. Thank you for sharing the detailed description and screenshots.

From what you’ve described, the behavior seems linked to privacy or compliance settings being applied to your account. When the message “Privacy Settings Applied” appears, the app likely switches to a restricted mode to align with organizational or account-level security policies.

Please review the Privacy Settings: Tap the link in the popup or go to your account settings to confirm if any new compliance or conditional access policies were applied.

    • If possible, sign in with a personal Microsoft account to check if the issue persists. You can also try clearing the app cache or reinstalling to help refresh the configuration.
    • If your account is managed by an organization, ask your admin to review any recent Intune or Conditional Access policies that might affect the app.

Additionaly, you can use the in-app Help & Feedback option or the official Microsoft feedback channels to share logs with the product team. This ensures your experience is noted for future improvements.

I look forward to receiving your update. Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.

On my personal mobile phone with no restrictions with my private live.co.uk account I'm still having the "restricted view" even after reinstalling and clearing the cache.
