Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

    1. Are you not receiving emails from all Yahoo senders, or is the issue limited to a particular sender or specific Yahoo email address?
    2. Have you checked your Spam/Junk folder and verified that no filters or blocked senders are set up in your Yahoo Mail account?

Go to Outlook Settings > Mail > Rules.

If you have any rules that automatically move your Yahoo emails to another folder, delete those rules.

Then go to Outlook Settings > Mail > Junk Email > Blocked senders list.

If the email address you want to receive mail from is in this list, remove it.

You can also add the Yahoo email address to the Safe senders list so that emails from that sender are delivered directly to your Inbox folder.

    Hi Jill Arbeiter

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand your frustration, you've never been able to receive emails from Yahoo in your Outlook.

I can see there’s a Q&A Assist reply under your post. To avoid repeating it, could you tell me whether you’ve tried those steps yet, and what happens when you try.

In the meantime, you can try the following steps:

    1. Add Yahoo domains to Safe Senders list

    • Sign in to Outlook on the web, go to Settings > Mail > Junk email
    • Under Safe senders and domains, add yahoo.com (or the exact sender address), then Save

    2. Check if Yahoo is in Blocked Senders list

    • Go to Settings > Mail > Junk email
    • Under Blocked senders and domains, look for any Yahoo domains
    • Remove them if found

    3. Check Inbox Rules

    • Go to Settings > Mail > Rules
    • Look for rules automatically deleting or moving Yahoo emails
    • Delete any suspicious rules

    4. Search for Yahoo emails

    • Use the Outlook search bar to search: from:yahoo.com
    • Check if old Yahoo emails exist in other folders, such as Deleted Items, Junk Email, Archive

    5. Test with a different email

If you have access to a Yahoo account:

    • Send a test email from Yahoo to your Outlook
    • Check immediately if it arrives (Inbox, Junk, Deleted Items)
    • If it doesn't appear anywhere, it's being blocked server-side

For more details, you can see Can't send or receive email in Outlook.com - Microsoft Support

To help me provide more targeted guidance, can you also confirm:

    • Have you ever received ANY emails from Yahoo addresses in this account?
    • Are you trying to receive emails from specific Yahoo users or Yahoo services (like Yahoo notifications)?

Thank you for your understanding and patience. Feel free to let me know how it goes and which steps you've already tried.

If you are not receiving emails from Yahoo, there are several factors that could be contributing to this issue. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot:

    1. Check Spam or Junk Folder: Sometimes, emails from Yahoo may be incorrectly classified as spam. Make sure to check your spam or junk folder to see if the messages are there.
    2. Review Email Rules: Look at any rules or filters you might have set up in your email client. These could be redirecting or deleting emails from Yahoo.
    3. Blocked Senders: Verify that you haven't accidentally blocked emails from Yahoo. Check your blocked sender list to ensure that the Yahoo domain is not included.
    4. Domain Verification: If you have recently added a new domain to your Microsoft 365 account, ensure that it is verified and that the MX records are correctly configured to point to Microsoft 365.
    5. Delivery Issues: There might be delivery issues with the sender's email server or the emails might not have been sent at all. You can run a message trace to investigate the status of the emails.
    6. Email Server Settings: Confirm that your email server settings allow emails from Yahoo. Sometimes, configurations may prevent incoming emails from certain domains.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider contacting your email provider's support for further assistance.
