    Hi @Eric Ringblom,

    Thank you for your update.

I’ve noticed that many users are reporting the same issue you’re experiencing. This could indicate a broader incident, even if it hasn’t yet appeared in the Service Health dashboard in the Admin Center.

If you have admin rights, please submit a report through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center so Microsoft can review and investigate. If you’re not an admin, kindly contact your IT administrator to raise the report on your behalf. When multiple tenants report the same problem, Microsoft can prioritize and publish updates more quickly.

Please note that forum moderators do not have access to user account settings and cannot assist with logging in, resetting passwords, or changing access rights. While we do not have access to internal systems or administrative tools required to resolve account-specific or backend-related issues but we’ll continue doing our best to support you within the scope of our responsibilities.

I’m sorry if this issue has caused any inconvenience. I hope the information provided helps resolve your concern. Please feel free to reach out anytime if you need further assistance - I’m happy to help and truly hope this guidance proves useful.

I was able to add & edit contacts only when I toggled off the "turn on to start using the new contacts features."

    Hi everyone,

Thank you for sharing your feedback and experiences regarding this issue.

It appears this may be related to an ongoing incident. Currently, there is no official service health advisory posted in the Microsoft 365 Admin Center, which suggests the issue is still under investigation.

If you have admin privileges, I recommend reporting this incident through the Microsoft 365 Admin Center. Doing so helps Microsoft Support track and prioritize the problem for your organization.

    Hi @Eric Ringblom,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing the details of the issue you’re experiencing when trying to add a new contact in Outlook. I understand how important it is to keep your contacts organized, and I appreciate you providing the screenshot.

Here are suggestions you can try to troubleshoot:

    1. Update the Outlook App

    • Make sure you’re using the latest version of New Outlook for Windows, as updates often include fixes for known issues. To check, go to New Outlook > File > About Outlook.

    2. Verify Internet connection

    • If you’re using Outlook with an Exchange or Microsoft 365 account, a stable internet connection is required to sync contacts. Please confirm your connection is active and reliable.

    3. Add the Contact via Outlook Web

    • If the problem continues, try creating the contact in Outlook on the web. If it saves successfully there, it should sync back to the New Outlook app.

    4. Clear App cache and data

    • Clearing cached data can resolve temporary glitches or corruption: On Windows, go to Settings > Apps > Outlook > Advanced Options > Reset.

    5. Switch to Classic Outlook (Workaround)

    • If none of the above works, you can temporarily switch to Classic Outlook and add the contact there.

    6. Contact IT admin

    • If the problem persists, I recommend contacting your IT administrator for further assistance. If needed, they can submit a support ticket through the Microsoft 365 admin center for further investigation.

I hope this information is helpful. Please follow these steps and let me know if it works for you. If not, we can work together to resolve this.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. If you have any questions or need further assistance, please feel free to share them in the comments on this post so I can continue to support you.

I look forward to your thoughts on this.
