Dear Jed G and everyone experiencing the same problem,

First, I sincerely apologize for the delay in getting back to you and truly appreciate your patience. I understand how frustrating it can be when essential equipment does not work as expected, especially in a professional setting.

During my research into this issue, I found a discussion on the HP Community where a user identified that the Realtek Audio Processing Object Driver may cause conflicts with Logitech MeetUp conference devices. The thread noted that this behavior affects multiple HP models and confirmed that certain versions of the Realtek Audio Effects Component are linked to the problem.

The suggested workaround in that discussion is to try installing an older version of the Realtek driver, which has resolved the issue for some users. You can review the details and steps in the thread here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-PCs-Workstations-and-Point-of-Sale-Systems/Realtek-Audio-Processing-Object-Driver-Causing-issues-with/td-p/9495623

    Hi Kanathip Trakarnphol

Thank you for contacting us and sharing the details of your issue.

Since you mentioned updating the Logitech MeetUp firmware, could you please confirm whether the update was performed through the official Logitech Portal?

To better support you, could you also provide:

    • The exact model name of your device (e.g., HP EliteBook 840 G7)
    • The operating system version you're using (e.g., Windows 11 Pro 22H2)

Regarding the microphone issue, does it occur only during online meetings (such as Microsoft Teams or Google Meet), or also when testing locally (for example, using the Voice Recorder app)?

In the meantime, we recommend checking the following system settings:

    • Check Sound Settings: Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Sound. Check both the Playback and Recording tabs when the MeetUp is plugged in. If the MeetUp appears greyed out in Playback, right-click it and choose Connect. Then go to Settings > System > Sound and check if the input device is set to Logitech MeetUp. Also, make sure your meeting app is using Logitech MeetUp as the microphone.
    • Check in Device Manager: Open Device Manager by right-clicking on the Windows icon and selecting Device Manager. Expand Audio inputs and outputs. Look for Logitech MeetUp Microphone. Try uninstalling it, then shut down or restart your laptop and replug the device to reinstall the drivers. This may help resolve the issue if it's driver-related.

Additionally, I found a thread that describes a similar issue and might offer a helpful workaround. You can check it out here: HP Forum: Plug-and-play microphone from "Logitech MeetUp" not working

Please try the steps above, and if anything changes or the issue persists, feel free to share your feedback. Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.
