A professional diagramming tool that helps users visualize complex information through easy-to-understand diagrams.
Dear Colotta Jerrae
Thank you for reaching out to the Q&A forum.
To export a Visio diagram to PDF while keeping the exact page size, scaling, and connector alignment, you might try locking the layout and connectors first. If you don’t see the Developer tab, you can enable it by going to File > Options > Customize Ribbon, then check the box for Developer and click OK.
After that, press Ctrl + A to select the entire diagram, go to Developer > Behavior, open the Connector tab, and under Reroute, choose Never. You can also go to Home > Layers > Layer Properties and check the Lock box. This helps prevent any accidental movement during the save/export process.
Another option that many users find helpful is adjusting the page size and scaling. You can go to Design > Page Setup, pick the orientation and size you want, and try using Auto Size. For large diagrams, you may want to use bigger paper sizes like A2 - A0 and test the export to see whether it keeps the correct layout. Turning on page breaks and gridlines can also help you visually keep things aligned before exporting.
I tested this on my side, and fixing the page size and scaling works pretty well for both Save As and Export, though it may depend on how complex your diagram is. Give these suggestions a try, and if it still doesn’t give you the result you expect, feel free to comment again and share a picture of the diagram you’re trying to export. If needed, you can also send it privately for more detailed help.
Looking forward to your response.
