    Dear @John Smit

    Welcome to the Q&A Community.

Thank you for reaching out to us with your question about adjusting font size in Outlook. I understand how important it is to have a comfortable reading and composing experience.

By default, Outlook uses Aptos 12 pt for composing and replying to messages. To permanently increase the font size:

Open Outlook and go to File > Options > Mail > Stationery and Fonts.

Under the Personal Stationery tab, click Font… for each section (New mail, Reply/forward, Plain Text).

Choose your preferred font style and size (for example: 14 pt), then click OK to save your changes.

These settings will apply to all future emails you compose or reply to.

If you’d also like larger text when reading emails, you can use the Zoom option in the Reading Pane and select your preferred zoom level. Be sure to check Remember my preference so it stays consistent across messages.

To enlarge text in your message list (such as sender and subject lines in your Inbox):

Go to View > View Settings > Other Settings.

Use Row Font (and Column Font if needed) to select a larger size for the list.

Finally, if your messages still appear small when replying, make sure your default compose format is set to HTML: Go to File > Options > Mail > Compose messages in this format and select HTML.

To permanently change the font size for your email messages in Outlook, you can set the default font and font size by following these steps:

    1. In the email editor, locate the Rich text editor toolbar.
    2. Select the option to set the default font and font size.
    3. In the User Personalization settings, specify your desired Font and Font Size.
    4. Click Ok to apply these settings.

Once you set these values, they will be used as the defaults for your email messages moving forward. If your administrator has set default values, those will be displayed in the toolbar as well.
