I used Rewards points for Amazon Gift Card and it is an invalid Claim Code per Amazon. How can I get this fixed?

I used my Microsoft Rewards points for an Amazon Gift Card.

I tried to redeem from Microsoft Rewards. I followed the instructions. The Claim Code does NOT work with Amazon.

I talked with Amazon Customer Service. They said it is not a valid code so there is nothing they can do. I must get a working code from Microsoft (Makes sense).

I opened Microsoft Support Request 7092099795. I heard back from Keisha. She said I need to go to Amazon since it is an Amazon Gift Card issue.

I went BACK to Amazon. They again said very politely, "this is a Microsoft issue. They are not giving you a correct Claim Code. We can't do anything about that.'

I went back to Microsoft... This is a complete joke and the whole thing is a very small gift card. But Microsoft does not stand by their Rewards program if they are giving out incorrect Claim Codes. I used my valuable points for something that doesn't work. :(

I have done all of this and no one will answer me. I cashed in all my Microsoft Rewards for an Amazon gift card and nothing will work.

    Hi Scott S,

Thanks for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum. I understand that your Amazon gift card is invalid. If your card shows invalid (not "purchased" or anything else), please recheck all your redeem process. Notice on the account you're using, redeem history and copy button (if applicable), confirmation mail for your gift card and what exactly site or product your card can apply. If you check them all, take screenshots and proven that you done one by one step but your card still invalid. Then Contact Microsoft Support again and provide:

    • Your Order Number.
    • The invalid code.
    • Screenshots of the error message from Amazon and all relevant.
    • Your existing support case number (7092099795).

Note: Please follow the steps in our documentation to enable e-mail notifications if you want to receive the related email notification for this thread.

    Best regards.
