I’m using OneNote on Android one ui 8.0 newest update and noticed that recent notes or edits made on another device don’t appear, or syncing gets stuck. The same notebook syncs fine on OneNote for Windows or the web

    Dear @Klaus Cleo,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum!

Based on your description, I have several suggestions for you to try and see if they can help:

1.Turn on "Sync all page content" and turn off "Sync notebooks on Wi-Fi only" in your OneNote for Android. Please go to your OneNote on Android device > click your account avatar > choose Settings > Disable "Sync notebooks on Wi-Fi only" and enable "Sync all page content" option.

2.You will go to the OneNote desktop app on your Windows device > click "File" > Info > choose "View Sync Status" to pop-up the "Shared Notebook Synchronization" window > then click "Sync automatically whenever there are changes" and press "Sync Now" the Notebook that you want to sync.

3.You can try to reset credentials:

    • Open OneNote and then on the bottom left, tap Notebooks.
    • Tap the three-dots menu in the upper right corner of the screen, and choose Settings.
    • Tap Account.
    • Tap Sign Out, and then click OK.
    • Tap the recent apps button on the bottom of the screen (the one to the left of your Home button), find the OneNote app and swipe it sideways to close it.
    • Start OneNote and sign in to your account.

4.You can try to force Syncing for Android phone:

    • In OneNote, find the notebook that's experiencing the sync issues.
    • Tap the three-dots menu in the upper right corner of the screen and choose Sync (account name) notebook.

Tip: To sync all notebooks, go to the list of notebooks. Tap the three-dots menu and then choose Sync all.

    • Leave the device on until the sync is done. You may have to leave the device on overnight, especially in the case of very large notebooks or first-time syncs.

Please kindly see more details and review the methods carefully in this article: Fix issues when you can't sync OneNote

Also, I found this article that may be related to your case, you can consult it as well: Sync a notebook in OneNote

I hope this information can help you and please feel free to update to me in comment section. Wish you a good day!
