Looking for some clarification on GoDaddy Microsoft 365 Business Professional vs Microsoft 365 Family

I'm looking for some clarification on GoDaddy Microsoft 365 Business Professional vs Microsoft 365 Family.

I'm told by GoDaddy that if I don't have Microsoft 365 on a computer I can't get my email from GoDaddy, so I need to purchase Microsoft 365 Business Professional from them at C$335.88/year, but they have a deal on right now for C$11.99per mailbox/month, but that does not apply to me because I'm upgrading from Microsoft 365 Email Plus. (Typical GoDaddy Sales).

After looking into this I have been told I don't need to purchase this from GoDaddy I can just purchase the Microsoft 365 Family from Best Buy at 144.99cad that will give me Microsoft 365 on 6 computers if needed and all I need from GoDaddy is the Microsoft 365 Email Essentials (C$2.99per mailbox/month or pay annually at C$143.88) or Microsoft 365 Email Plus plan (C$5.99per mailbox/month or pay annually at C$167.88).

Just asking the gurus out their if this is correct? I'm sure their is a cheaper way to do this, but I think this is a good compromise if it works based on the savings and we all only use email, word and excel and our phones

24.17 per year + 167.88 per year = 192.05 divided by 12 = 16.00 per month saving 11.99 per month

    Based on my research, there is no official documentation from Microsoft or GoDaddy that explicitly confirms whether GoDaddy’s Email Plus plan can sign in to the Outlook for Windows desktop app. 

    However, Microsoft does clarify that new Outlook for Windows allows you to add secondary accounts regardless of their license status, as long as the Outlook desktop app itself is activated by an account that includes the right to use desktop applications. Microsoft 365 Family does include these rights.

    In theory, this means you should be able to add your GoDaddy Email Plus account to Outlook for Windows after activating the desktop app with a Microsoft 365 Family subscription.
