I have made one company account to test window 365 cloud thwt is free for a month.

I'm a student, I have not known a lot of microsoft environment.

I have accessed account and cloud with window app on first day 2(FEB)/13.

I want to access to my company account, but I have a trouble.

I can login with just one way that is mobile(microsoft authenticator app), but I had deleted this app and now I can't login.

Then I have made another account ,that is similar with first account and that is microsoft entra id(1 month for free), to resolve this problem.

Please let me know how can I resolve this problem.

    Hello @채윤 이,

Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Forum and thank you for your question.

To help guide you correctly, I need to clarify a couple of important points with you so we can identify the best recovery option.

1/ First, I need to confirm whether your old account and your new account belong to the same tenant.

If the two accounts share the same domain (for example, both accounts end with the same .onmicrosoft.com domain), or if they share the same Tenant ID, then they are considered to be in the same Microsoft Entra tenant.

If they are in the same tenant and if your new account has administrator permission, then you may be able to help yourself by resetting the MFA settings of the old account. Since you mentioned that the only login method was the Microsoft Authenticator app that you deleted, the old account is now stuck requiring MFA that cannot be completed. In this situation, an admin in the same tenant can remove the old MFA registration and require the account to re‑register MFA from the beginning.

If your accounts are in the same tenant and the new account is an administrator, please try the following process:

    • Sign in to the Microsoft Entra Admin Center
    • Navigate to Users > Your Account > Authentication methods
    • Select Require re-register MFA

You can follow this official Microsoft article for guidance: Manage authentication methods for Microsoft Entra multifactor authentication - Microsoft Entra ID |…

2/ Can your new account sign in to the Microsoft 365 Admin Center?

If you are able to access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center using your new account, you will have additional support options available. Being able to sign in there means you can send a support request directly to Microsoft through the “Help & Support" section inside the portal. Submitting a ticket from inside the Admin Center is the fastest way for Microsoft Support to verify your ownership of the tenant and assist you with account recovery.

You can follow this official Microsoft article for guidance: Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn

In the meantime, you can also reach Microsoft Support by phone if you prefer speaking to an agent directly. Microsoft provides a list of customer service numbers for each region, available here: Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

(When you call the support number, you may hear an introduction of about 30 seconds such as "you can visit the link...". You can ignore this introduction and wait until you are presented with the options. Then press "1" as a business email user, and again "1" for technical help.)

In some regions, the initial interaction may be automated, so here’s a general idea of how the conversation might go to help you prepare:

    • What kind of problem are you experiencing?
    • Answer: Authenticator
    • What products do you use?
    • Answer: Office 365 for business
    • Is this for an education or company account?
    • Answer: For companies
    • Are you an administrator?
    • Answer: Yes
    • Are there any other administrators in your organization?
    • Answer: No. I am the only admin in my tenant
    • Do you need a... Service request?
    • Answer: Yes. I need to create a ticket. Please send me direct to the Data Protection Teams.

During the call, please provide the subscription details you have, such as your company name, billing information, phone number, and alternate email address. This information will allow our privacy team to help reset your multi-factor authentication. Once the reset is complete, you can add your account back to the authenticator app and log in again.

Should you have any additional information or clarification regarding your accounts, please feel free to share it at your convenience. I remain available and ready to assist you further as soon as you can provide the requested details.

    Kind regards,

To resolve your issue with accessing your Microsoft 365 account after deleting the Microsoft Authenticator app, you can try the following steps:

    1. Recover Your Authenticator App: If you deleted the app, you can reinstall it from your mobile app store. If you had set up a backup for your accounts in the app, you can restore it.
    2. Use Alternative Recovery Options: If you cannot recover the app, check if you have set up any alternative recovery options such as a backup email or phone number that you can use to receive a verification code.
    3. Contact Support: If you are still unable to access your account, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for assistance. They can help you regain access to your account.
    4. Delete Unused Accounts: If you want to delete the new Microsoft Entra ID account you created, you can follow the steps to delete a Microsoft Entra tenant as outlined in the Microsoft documentation. Make sure to back up any important data before doing this.
    5. Accessing Your Company Account: If you regain access to your original company account, ensure that you set up multiple authentication methods to avoid similar issues in the future.

If you need further assistance with deleting accounts or managing your subscriptions, please refer to the Microsoft documentation or support channels for detailed guidance.
