short question. is there any way to add contacts to a phone through intune?

we have Intune set up for our phones. both iphone and android in our company and we would need a way to add all our employees contacts infromation on the phones. we are around 500+ in our company and we have people starting and quiting weekly so it would be really good to have a way to have our phones contacts list updated.

The only way i know how to add contact to a phone is to add them to your contact list in outlook and then sync it to the phone. but that is not a good solution because it doesn't update the list automatic and every user need to do it themself. doesn't microsoft have any good way to do this on? like a direkt connection to AAD and have a group there or some settings in exchange?

does anyone else have a best practice for this kind of thing? i can't be the only one with this question

@Joakim Thor, Thanks for posting in Q&A. Currently, the way to add contacts to a phone through Intune needs to be done using the Exchange Online service. Intune allows administrators to author device configurations that are specific to devices that have been enrolled in Intune. When a device is enrolled, it is managed through Intune and will follow the policies, settings, and configurations that have been set up through the Intune console.

Here are the high-level steps that can be taken to make this happen:

    1. Open the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center and go to Devices > Configuration profiles > Create profile.
    2. Select the platform (iOS, Android) for which you want to create the profile.
    3. Select Settings > Exchange ActiveSync.
    4. Configure the settings per your requirements. You need to enable the contacts sync option.
    5. Assign the profile to a group of users.
    6. Wait for the policy to take effect and for the contact sync to happen.

By using this method, the contacts can be updated automatically when new users are added or existing users are removed from the company.
