@Joakim Thor, Thanks for posting in Q&A. Currently, the way to add contacts to a phone through Intune needs to be done using the Exchange Online service. Intune allows administrators to author device configurations that are specific to devices that have been enrolled in Intune. When a device is enrolled, it is managed through Intune and will follow the policies, settings, and configurations that have been set up through the Intune console.
Here are the high-level steps that can be taken to make this happen:
- Open the Microsoft Endpoint Manager admin center and go to Devices > Configuration profiles > Create profile.
- Select the platform (iOS, Android) for which you want to create the profile.
- Select Settings > Exchange ActiveSync.
- Configure the settings per your requirements. You need to enable the contacts sync option.
- Assign the profile to a group of users.
- Wait for the policy to take effect and for the contact sync to happen.
By using this method, the contacts can be updated automatically when new users are added or existing users are removed from the company.
