It's been some years now, and this feature is not included yet.

I'm still waiting for it to be available in order to change to the new outlook.

When this will be a thing?

    Hi @Amílcar Chamorro Petronacci

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback. I appreciate you taking the time to explain your concerns, and I sincerely regret that my previous response did not clearly address your question or meet your expectations.

Based on the details you shared that the earlier explanation caused confusion because it did not accurately reflect how templates work in the new Outlook. I also recognize your concern regarding features that were mentioned but not visible or usable in your experience, which understandably led to frustration.

To clarify, the new Outlook does not include built in quick steps or classic template functionality. Instead, templates are created and used through the My Templates add in, which must first be added before it appears during email composition.

For your reference, I am currently using the New Outlook version 1.2026.304.200. Therefore, to create and use templates in the new Outlook, please follow the steps below:

    1. Start by opening a new email.
    2. Next, select Apps or More apps within the compose window and search for My Templates.   User's image
    3. Once the add in is added, open it, choose the option to add a new template, then enter a title and the template content and save it.   User's image
    4. After this setup is complete, you can insert the saved template into future emails directly from the My Templates panel while composing.

Moreover, you can create your own new templates by defining the content and saving it once, allowing you to reuse the same wording consistently in future emails.

    1. First, go to Settings, then select Mail, choose Templates, and select Add.
    2. Next, within the Add option, please choose Create new template.  User's image
    3. After that, create your preferred template and close the window to ensure it is saved.  User's image
    4. Finally, when composing a new email, select Mail from template and choose the template you have created.  User's image

Your contribution not only supports fellow users in finding the right guidance more quickly, but also helps build a more resourceful and collaborative space for everyone.

Thank you again for your patience and for clearly pointing out where the previous response fell short. Your feedback is important, and I hope this explanation now aligns correctly with the behavior of the new Outlook.

If anything still does not work as described, please let me know, and I will tailor the next steps specifically to your environment.

Looking forward to your response and wishing you a great day ahead.

    Hi @Amílcar Chamorro Petronacci

Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum.

Based on the details you shared that you want to reply to messages using a saved template in the new Outlook while keeping the original thread, subject, and recipients. I truly understand and appreciate the effort you invested in perfecting your Quick Step workflow in classic Outlook and the patience you have shown while waiting for feature parity.

At the moment, the new Outlook supports two template experiences. Mail Templates let you create full, ready‑to‑send messages, and My Templates lets you insert reusable text directly into a reply window. Because there is not a single command that applies a full Mail Template to an existing reply today, the recommended path is to open Reply first and then insert your saved content using My Templates. In addition, you can combine this with Quick Steps to automate the act of opening a Reply or Reply all and pre‑set fields such as Cc, which reduces clicks before inserting your template text.

Furthermore, Microsoft’s public feature matrix shows that some classic capabilities are still in staged delivery for the new Outlook. Quick Steps are available with partial parity, and Quick Parts is listed as an upcoming or rolling feature, so availability can vary by tenant and release ring. This staged rollout model is expected in the new Outlook, which ships service‑delivered features progressively.

Below are some options that fit your situation and keep the reply thread intact:

1/ Insert your reply content with My Templates

    • Open Reply or Reply all on the message you want to answer.
    • In the compose window, select My Templates to open the pane.
    • Click the saved entry to insert the text into your reply.
    • If you need to create or edit an entry, choose plus Template in the pane, name it, add your content, and save.
    • Send as usual, since the original subject and recipients are preserved by Reply.

2/ Use Quick Steps to streamline the reply action, then insert your template text

    • Go to Quick Steps and select Manage quick steps, then create a new Quick Step that opens Reply or Reply all and sets any defaults you need, such as adding a Cc.
    • Run that Quick Step on the selected email to open the reply with those fields ready.
    • Insert your saved content using My Templates as in option one, then send.  This combines automation for the reply itself with reusable text insertion for the message body.

3/ Prepare to use Quick Parts for richer blocks in replies as it reaches your tenant

    • When Quick Parts arrives for your account, open a reply in a pop‑out window and use the Insert tab to access your saved building blocks such as formatted text, images, and tables.
    • Save frequently used reply blocks once and insert them in one click the next time you respond.
    • Continue using Quick Steps to launch the reply, then insert the Quick Part so the thread, subject, and recipients remain intact.  Microsoft’s feature comparison notes Quick Parts for the new Outlook as an upcoming capability, and the feature delivery model explains why timing can differ across tenants.

I hope this response has helped address your question and clarify the behavior you're experiencing. Please feel free to reply if you have any further questions, I would be happy to assist further.

Thank you for your patience and your understanding. I look forward to continuing the conversation.
