Hi Aaditya Sharma,
Thanks for your post. I’m happy to help look into this with you. Have you already tried the Q&A Assist suggestions? In addition, please try the steps below:
Step 1 – Forget and re‑add the home Wi‑Fi profile
A corrupted Wi‑Fi profile can cause this exact behavior.
- Open Settings > “Network & Internet” > “Wi‑Fi”
- Select “Manage known networks”
- Click your home Wi‑Fi > “Forget”
- Restart the laptop, then reconnect to the Wi‑Fi and re‑enter the password
Step 2 – Check IPv4 DNS is not misconfigured
Incorrect DNS settings can block internet access while still showing “Connected”.
- Open Settings > “Network & Internet” > “Advanced network settings”
- Select “More network adapter options”
- Right‑click Wi‑Fi > “Properties”
- Open “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)”
- Make sure “Obtain DNS server address automatically” is selected
Step 3 – Temporarily disable IPv6
Some home routers have IPv6 compatibility issues with Windows 11.
- Go back to Wi‑Fi Properties
- Uncheck “Internet Protocol Version 6 (TCP/IPv6)”
- Click OK and reconnect to Wi‑Fi
If this fixes it, you can leave IPv6 disabled or re‑enable it later after a router firmware update.
Step 4 – Verify system date & time
Incorrect system time can break secure internet connections.
- Open Settings > “Time & language” > “Date & time”
- Turn on “Set time automatically” and “Set time zone automatically”
- Click “Sync now”, then reconnect Wi‑Fi
