An application or feature powered by Windows Copilot to assist users with tasks and productivity
Hi Leslie,
Copilot’s voice feature is managed inside the Copilot app itself, not through Windows Settings. This can make the setup path easy to miss at first.
Here are some possible checking steps that you can try to enable Copilot voice (talk feature) on Windows:
1, Open the Copilot app from the Start menu (not Copilot in Edge or the browser).
2, Sign in with your Microsoft account.
3, Select your profile icon in the left sidebar, go to Settings > Voice mode.
4, Enable one of the following:
- Press‑to‑talk: Hold Windows + C for 1–2 seconds to start speaking.
- “Hey Copilot” (if available): Turn on Listen for “Hey Copilot” for hands‑free use.
If Copilot doesn’t respond:
- Check Settings > Privacy & security > Microphone and ensure Copilot has microphone access.
- Make sure the Copilot app is updated via Microsoft Store.
Once enabled, Copilot will play a short sound and begin listening when voice mode starts. Let me know if you need further assistance, feel free to ask me by clicking "Add Comment" or "Add Answer" if you cannot add comment so your response will be visible. Thanks for your effort.
