It shows on our credit card statement a charge for 108.36 with a description of;

Microsoft*Microsoft 36 msbill.info WA

Can you tell me what this is for?

    I did not authorize the $141 payment to my charge card. I would like to have it refunded or tell me what I will have to do to cancel and refund.

    Hello @Nelson Collie Electic

    Welcome to the Microsoft Q&A Community!

    Please note that this forum is a public platform, so we’ve adjusted your question to hide your organization’s domain name. For future posts, kindly avoid sharing any personal or organizational details to help protect your data.

    Thank you for reaching out. I’m happy to help clarify the charge you’re seeing on your credit card statement.

    The billing description “Microsoft*Microsoft 36 msbill.info WA” is a legitimate Microsoft billing descriptor. It is commonly used for charges related to Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365) subscriptions or other Microsoft digital services. This is confirmed by Microsoft billing resources and financial charge identifiers, which explain that “Microsoft 36” is shorthand frequently used by processors to represent Microsoft 365 subscription billing, and “msbill.info WA” refers to Microsoft’s Washington‑based billing system.

    For reference, Microsoft’s official support article “How to investigate a billing charge from Microsoft” describes how Microsoft charges may appear from different billing descriptors and provides the process for checking and validating them.

    This type of charge may correspond to any of the following:

    • An annual or monthly Microsoft 365 subscription renewal
    • OneDrive or cloud storage plans
    • A Microsoft Store purchase or Windows‑related license
    • A trial subscription that converted into a paid plan

    Microsoft recommends the following steps to identify the exact transaction:

    1. Check your Microsoft account order history  Sign in at account.microsoft.com and review the Order history section. This will show all subscriptions and purchases tied to the account.
    2. Check other Microsoft accounts  If your organization uses more than one Microsoft login, review the order history for each one, as charges can be linked to different accounts.
    3. Confirm internal purchases  If multiple staff members have access to your Microsoft services, check whether someone may have renewed or purchased something using the company card.

    I hope the given information helps clear things out for you. Let me know if you need further clarifications.
