Entra ID tenant blocked from Microsoft

Hello @Anonymous ,

I would like to describe the issue we are experiencing. Each time I try to invite someone from an external domain, a window appears informing me that sending invitations is blocked. This happens regardless of which external domain I attempt to invite .

Previously, I verified all relevant settings as recommended — in External Collaboration, Allow/Block List, and Cross‑Tenant Access everything is configured to “Allow”, but the problem still persists .

Please assist with further diagnosis and removing this restriction.

Hello @Wojciech Nowak - ROYCON,

Based on the error message you received it appears that was Invitations are blocked in your tenant due to suspicious activity.

We addressed this by collaborating with our internal team, who have now unblocked your tenant.

You can check and confirm whether you were able to access the tenant which was blocked.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any queries. Happy to assist you further.

The error shown in the screenshot indicates that invitations are being blocked at the tenant level, not by per‑feature B2B settings such as External collaboration, Allow/Block list, or Cross‑tenant access. Those settings control who can invite guests and which external organizations are allowed, but they do not override a tenant‑wide block imposed by Microsoft when suspicious activity or inactivity is detected.

Because the block is at the tenant level, it cannot be removed from the Entra admin center. An administrator must open a support case with Microsoft so the tenant can be reviewed and unblocked (if eligible). If the tenant has also been marked inactive, there is a limited window in which Microsoft can reactivate it before it is permanently deleted.

Recommended actions for the Entra ID administrator:

    1. Collect the tenant ID and correlation details from the error and sign‑in logs.
    2. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center (https://entra.microsoft.com) or Azure portal using an account with Global Administrator or equivalent support permissions.
    3. Create a support request to Microsoft, specifying that B2B invitations are blocked for the entire tenant due to suspicious activity/tenant block and requesting reactivation or removal of the restriction.
    4. If the tenant might be inactive, confirm that it has not been blocked for more than the allowed reactivation period; otherwise, a new tenant may be required.

Until Microsoft Support removes the tenant‑level block, invitations to any external domain will continue to fail regardless of local B2B configuration.
