Migration from NetObjects Fusion 2015 to another similar kind of drag and drop web creation software

I have been using NetObjects Fusion since 1999! My site is not a commercial site, more of a journal page of my life, it has over 1,000 pages. It's been getting slower and slower and is finally at a point where I need to migrate to another web creation software. I want to keep the pages and software on my PC, I don't want any cloud based software where my pages live off my computer. I asked AI for recommendations and they came up with a company called https://www.websitex5.com/ which is an Italian company founded in 1998 and was released in 2005 so they've been around for awhile.

Has anyone else migrated their NetObjects Fusion site to another similar kind of "drag and drop" software. I'm not an HTML programmer but I am experienced with software and tweaking things. I think Adobe's Dreamweaver would be overkill and I don't want to invest a lot of time learning a new complicated software package when my site is relatively simple, with just text, photos and embedded videos. I don't need interactive blogging/comments and I'm not going to use it as a resale site to sell anything.

Any ideas?

Thanks! --PII REMOVED--

    Hi Peter J. Macay,

Please note that our Microsoft Q&A forum is a public platform, and we will modify your response/ question to hide your personal information in the description. Kindly ensure that you hide any personal or organizational information the next time you post an error or other details to protect personal data.

Thank you for sharing your experience and your detailed question. I completely understand how important your site is, especially after maintaining it for so many years. It sounds like a meaningful personal project.

However, just to kindly clarify, this Microsoft Q&A forum is focused on providing support for Microsoft products and services such as Windows, Microsoft 365, Azure, and related technologies. The question you are asking - about migrating from NetObjects Fusion to another third-party web design tool - falls outside the scope of support that this community can provide.

For the most accurate and practical guidance, it would be best to contact the provider of the tool you are considering (for example, Website X5) or reach out to communities/forums dedicated to web design software. They will be in a much better position to give you hands-on advice, migration guidance, and tool-specific recommendations.

I truly appreciate your understanding, and I hope you find the right solution that keeps your project alive and easy to manage for years to come.

There is no Microsoft or Windows tool in the provided context that supports direct migration from NetObjects Fusion to another drag‑and‑drop web editor, and no guidance on specific third‑party site builders.

The only relevant migration guidance in the context concerns:

    • Migrating classic ASP or older ASP.NET apps to newer ASP.NET versions.
    • Migrating .NET web apps to Azure App Service.
    • Migrating Power Pages portal configuration between environments.

These do not apply to NetObjects Fusion project files or to choosing a replacement desktop web‑authoring tool. The context also does not list or compare alternative desktop web design applications for Windows.
