I have noticed that the Custom Summary Tool has been disabled by Microsoft. I manage a key business program that utilizes this tool daily. When should we expect to see the tool re-enabled? This timeline will help guide our response. Thank you.

Hi @Rogerson, Nick

I hope you’re having a great day.

Thank you for reaching out and for sharing the details.

I’d like to confirm that this behavior aligns with an active Microsoft Teams service advisory: TM1290947 (“Users may be unable to use the Custom AI meeting summary feature for Microsoft Teams due to the feature being disabled”).

Microsoft has identified that a recent code change impacted the feature and is actively working on remediation. According to the latest Service Health update, Microsoft has developed and validated a fix, and they are expected to share an updated deployment timeline in their upcoming Service Health communication. User's image

If you are part of an organization, your IT admin can monitor the status directly through Microsoft 365 Admin Center > Health > Service Health, where Microsoft posts active updates about the advisory. Your IT admin can also open a support request with Microsoft for tenant-specific assistance and updates.

I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, especially given how critical this tool is to your daily operations. I kindly ask for your understanding while Microsoft continues working on the fix.
