A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data.
Hi, Arun Vasudevan
This looks less like a Mac setting issue and more like Excel matching the Singapore ticker to the wrong instrument, exchange, or delayed data source. I would not rely only on the displayed “Price” field until you confirm the exact exchange and last trade time.
Besides the solutions provided by the Q&A Assist, here are some suggestions you can try:
Right-select the stock cell, choose Data Type > Change, then search by the full company name instead of only the ticker. Pick the result that clearly matches the Singapore listing/SGX, if it appears. A wrong exchange match can easily give a wrong price.
Add the Exchange, Currency, and Last Trade Time fields next to Price. This helps confirm whether Excel is pulling the correct listing or an old/delayed quote.
If Excel still cannot match SGX correctly, it is recommended that you use a separate source for Singapore stocks, such as SGX/EOD data, Apple Numbers, or a Google Sheets import workaround, then paste or link the values back into Excel. Excel for Mac seems less reliable for some non-US market data.
