Need phone number to call Microsoft

For home use of Microsoft 365, Office, and Windows, direct phone support is not always listed first; contact is typically started through the Get Help experience, which can then offer chat or a call-back from a support agent.

For a personal (home) Microsoft account and products:

1. Open the Get Help app on Windows (type Get Help in the Start menu search and open it).
2. Describe the issue (for example, “Microsoft 365 activation problem” or “Windows activation issue”).
3. If the automated suggestions do not resolve the issue, select Contact support when prompted.
4. Choose the affected product or service and confirm.
5. Select a contact option:
   • Chat with a support agent in your web browser, or
   • Provide your phone number and a support agent will call you (call-back option).

Alternatively, for home users needing help with downloading, installing, or activating Windows or Office, or for account and billing questions, use the online Get Help entry point:

• Go to the Get help experience for home users: Get Help. Describe the problem and proceed until the option appears to chat or request a call.

If the issue is specifically with a Microsoft Store purchase (for example, a paid Microsoft 365 subscription or Windows/Office purchase through the Store), use:

• Get help for Microsoft Store purchases. If further help is needed, select the region to see any available phone numbers for Microsoft Store Sales Support, or follow the link to Customer service phone numbers for more country/region options.

For Microsoft 365 for business (if using a business subscription and an admin account):

1. Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center.
2. Select Support > Help and support.
3. Enter the question and choose Contact support.
4. If an admin, global support phone numbers are available via the global support phone numbers link provided there.

If none of the above paths show a direct phone number, use the call-back option in Get Help (provide a phone number and a support agent will call back).
