First of all, i used windows 10 before and i did upgrade on windows 11 months ago. And a problem was started here

My shortcut key to copy (ctrl+c) won't do any copy, instead it summons game bar settings, i do all the instruction based in google and copilot support and it still didn't work. So i uninstal and terminate my xbox based on copilot recomendation. But after that, my shortcut ctrl+c still wont do anything and it make me frustated because all my work based on typing and copying to make some reports.

    Hi Ahmad Wildan Al Rosyidi

I understand how frustrating this can be, especially when Ctrl + C is something you rely on every day for typing, copying, and preparing reports.

To narrow this down, could you please help check a few things?

    • First, does Ctrl + C fail everywhere, or only in specific apps? Please test it in Notepad, File Explorer, a browser, and the app where you usually prepare your reports.
    • Could you please check whether other Ctrl shortcuts still work, such as Ctrl + V, Ctrl + X, Ctrl + A, and Ctrl + Z?
    • Please try both Left Ctrl + C and Right Ctrl + C to see whether both Ctrl keys behave the same way.
    • Could you please check whether copy still works by another method, such as right-clicking and selecting Copy, or using the app’s Edit menu if available?

Please check whether you have any keyboard remapping, macro, gaming, or clipboard apps installed, such as Microsoft PowerToys Keyboard Manager, AutoHotkey, Logitech G Hub or Options, Razer Synapse, Corsair iCUE, clipboard manager apps, or any keyboard utility from the laptop manufacturer.

If PowerToys is installed, please open PowerToys > Keyboard Manager, then check both Remap a key and Remap a shortcut. Please remove any rule related to Ctrl + C, Ctrl, C, or Game Bar shortcuts, then restart the PC and test again.

You can try turning off Xbox Game Bar temporarily by going to Settings > Gaming > Xbox Game Bar, turning it off, then restarting the PC and testing Ctrl + C again.

Please restart Windows Explorer as well. To do this, press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager, find Windows Explorer, select it, then choose Restart.

Please clear the clipboard data by going to Settings > System > Clipboard, then select Clear clipboard data.

If the issue continues, please test in a clean boot environment. This helps check whether a startup app or background service is interfering with the shortcut. Press Win + R, type msconfig, then press Enter. Go to the Services tab, check Hide all Microsoft services, then select Disable all. Next, go to the Startup tab, open Task Manager, disable non-essential startup apps, restart the PC, and test Ctrl + C again. If Ctrl + C works after clean boot, one of the disabled apps or services may be interfering with the shortcut. You can re-enable them gradually to identify which one is related.

While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
