Minecraft Error Code (0x1) and error code (0xc00000005)

Hi everyone,

I have same problems with Minecraft Launcher.

New computer, New Windows on auto update, fresh Java install, time synced, reinstalled Launcher so many times now still same errors 0x01 of 0xc0000005. When clicking for the first time in Microslop store Laucher updates to 100% and then gives error 0xc0000005 again.

What a waste of time man... You have one game that people like and it is still launching with huge problems in 2026... Wasted 2 hours trying just to play this... Going to relax in Crimson Desert from this Microslop , seya tommorow

Hello Carl, im Am also having the issue with the 0xc0000005 and 0x1 error when I try to start the Minecraft launcher. Minecraft has always worked fine on my comuter ive only had it for a year. I first noticed the problem around mid-February, and since then, I have tried every online fix I could find, including updating the launcher and java none of them have worked.

I am having this same issue. I have looked up ways to fix it and have tried everything. Sometimes they work and the launcher runs and I can play but as soon as I close the launcher and open it again the same errors happen. It is aggravating me so much. Is this a Windows 11 related problem?

Edit: I have tried downloading the recent Java version and it still is not working :(

Just want to make sure. The OP computer is a new one, may I confirm if yours is the same? In the meantime, please try those steps:

1. Go to Settings > Time & language > Date and time.
2. Enable "Set time automatically" and "Set time zone automatically"
3. Click "Sync now" to sync the time.
4. Reinstall Minecraft Launcher and try again.

I understand that you are having issue running Minecraft through the Minecraft launcher. As I checked, the error code is pointing to an outdated Java or Launcher. So, the first step in this case is to check whether the launcher or java have any updates. Since you have already reinstalled the launcher, that left Java is the other possible cause. Can you please go to Java official website to download the latest version and install it, and then try to run the launcher again?

Before we proceed further, may I know when did the issue start? You said that the game can be played if launched via Cursed Forge, which as I know is a mod library for games. There is a possibility that a recent installed mod that cause this. Could you please try to remove all mods, then restart the computer and try to open the apps again?
