Quick Views now appears above the list of chats or teams & channels when i am using teams. I use a small screen and this showing above the content i actually need for my work is inconvenient. there's answers about collapsing the list, but i don't want to waste two rows of space with headers that i do not need. i understand i cannot get rid of "Teams and Channels", but why do I need to be FORCED to use Quick views rather than being in control of what content I need to look at for MY job?
You can see from the image below the wasted space of unread, quick views, and then teams and channels. I don't need discover, or drafts, or followed threads because i only need to look at SPECIFIC teams and channels. i should have control over my own view. How do I remove QUICK VIEWS?

At present, there is no available setting to completely disable the Quick view feature in Microsoft Teams.
In this case, I recommend that you share your experience with Microsoft’s product development team. Zebrowski, Joseph (DI SW PLM LCS PRM SW&S) 0 Reputation points2026-05-11T17:03:34.09+00:00 The newest additional set of buttons or modes is in the Chats, where we now have the "Quick view", I already lost almost an inch of height in the chat list due to the filter buttons we can't turn off for "unread/Chats/Meeting Chats" which i use rarely, but am stuck with always. , and now we have lost more height because of the "Quick views", which i can more easily get to with the "unread" button.
Please stop adding all of these convenience buttons at the top of lists without the config to turn them off. They take away from the actual list size, i feel like i'm looking through a keyhole at the data now, and each new idea that adds a new "quick button" or "convenience section makes the keyhole even smaller. Therefore waaaay more "un-convenient". -

contiuously improve? is that what you try to call it? all of these "features" that disrupt workflow and steal screen real estate for what? so you can pat yourself on the back? do you really need our "feedback" if so, I have to assume that nobody at microsoft uses these products themselves.
