Hi Kevin Gunn

Based on your description, I found this Microsoft document you can see: Rename pages, sections, or notebooks in OneNote for Mac - Microsoft Support

  • On the menu bar in OneNote, click Notebooks, right-click to Notebooks, and then click Close This Notebook.

  • In www.onedrive.com > My Files > click to select the small circle that appears next to or in the upper-right corner of the notebook icon > (...) icon > Click Rename or click Rename on the OneDrive menu bar.

  • On the same page, click the notebook icon to open the renamed notebook in OneNote for the web.
  • In OneNote for the web, click the Open in OneNote button near the top of the page to open the renamed notebook in OneNote for Mac. But in some cases, you can choose Editing > Open in Desktop.
