Hi Duane,
A Windows 7 PC is probably not able
to run Windows 11. Run this and it will

This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I get update notices, my PC won't update. It is a Windows 7 Home Edition, I know updates for W7 has stopped, There should be a way to fix it to update regardless.By making a repair disk for this system the way it is, may not help.

Windows 7 cannot be updated directly to Windows 11 through Windows Update, and Windows 7 itself no longer receives updates. The context provided only covers troubleshooting Windows Update on Windows 10 and Windows 11, plus repair/reinstall options for Windows 11, so only those supported paths can be described.
For devices already on Windows 10 or Windows 11 that fail to update, the documented options are:
DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth and sfc /scannow from an elevated Command Prompt to repair system files, then try Windows Update again. These procedures apply only once the device is on Windows 10 or Windows 11; they do not provide a supported upgrade path from Windows 7 Home to Windows 11.
