    Dear @Naga Mohan Vamsi Boorada,

I hope you’re having a good day and thank you for reaching out.

I understand that you’re not able to see the sync status in your OneDrive app, and I know this can make it difficult to tell whether your files are syncing properly.

Based on your description, it sounds like the sync status indicators (such as the status column or the checkmark/cloud icons) are not visible. In most cases, this is not a problem with syncing itself, but with how the sync status is displayed in the app or File Explorer.

Here are some steps you can try:

    1. Confirm that OneDrive is running
    • If OneDrive isn’t running, the sync status will not be visible at all.
    • Check the bottom-right corner of your screen (system tray) and look for the OneDrive cloud icon User's image
    • If you don’t see it, select Start and search for OneDrive, then open it

In some cases, users notice the icons disappear simply because the app is not running in the background

    1. Restart OneDrive
    • A simple restart can fix temporary glitches between OneDrive and File Explorer.
    • Right-click the OneDrive cloud icon in the system tray then select Quit OneDrive User's image
    • Then reopen OneDrive from the Start menu
    1. Restart File Explorer (refresh the UI)
    • Sometimes the issue is with File Explorer not refreshing the status column:
    • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
    • Find Windows Explorer
    • Right-click > select Restart

    User's image

    1. Check if the “Status” column is hidden
    • In some cases, the sync status is not visible because the column is not enabled:
    • Open your OneDrive folder in File Explorer
    • Right-click on the column header area (e.g., Name, Date modified)
    • Make sure Status is checked User's image
    1. Reset OneDrive (if issue persists)
    • If the above steps don’t help, resetting OneDrive can fix cache or sync engine issues:
    • Press Windows + R
    • Run the following command: %localappdata%\Microsoft\OneDrive\onedrive.exe /reset
    • Wait a minute, then start OneDrive again

It would be very helpful if you could share a screenshot showing:

    • Your OneDrive folder in File Explorer
    • The missing status column or icons

This will allow me to better understand exactly what you’re seeing and provide more targeted guidance.

Please understand that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

I hope this information helps point you in the right direction. If you run into any issues while trying the steps, or if something still doesn’t feel quite right, please don’t hesitate to reach out again. I’ll do my best to support you however I can.

    Warm regards,
