Accessing and using Microsoft Teams on smartphones and tablets across platforms
This excuse that Microsoft does not have a fix as yet has been going on for too long. When will it be fixed?

I have three Teams accounts on my Teams mobile and desktops: 1 - Personal and 2 - Business.
My desktop Teams on Mac and Windows 11 show that I have no pending messages or alerts. Mobile Teams on my UpToDate iPhone insist that I do have one in my personal Teams. Then these notifications play hide and seek (like a pin ball game), One minute they are all clear . Next minute on of the three accounts shows that I do have a message, when I open that account, find nothing. Next minute it shows up on another of the 3. Playing hide-and-seek and driving me nuts. I've tried:
No, there is no pending anything in my desktop instances

Accessing and using Microsoft Teams on smartphones and tablets across platforms
This excuse that Microsoft does not have a fix as yet has been going on for too long. When will it be fixed?
Well, I did as suggested.
Every step. All well till I added the Teams Personal account and the dreaded badge reappeared. What drives me nuts is the hide and seek. One moment it has disappeared - "wow, finally solved". Then without any particular pattern of steps, it reappears and stubbornly refuses to go away. Its preternatural behavior suggests the need of an exorcist. Need one who is a regular Teams user. None other would be able to connect with this evil gremlin.
Dear @Noel Heredia,
Good day, and thank you for clearly explaining what you’re experiencing.
I’m sorry you’re having to deal with this, especially when the notification badges keep appearing and disappearing without any clear reason. I understand how frustrating and distracting that can be, particularly when the desktop app shows no unread activity while the mobile app continues to display alerts. As a forum moderator, I genuinely wish I could directly access your account or delve into the backend systems to investigate and fix this for you. However, our role here is limited to providing general guidance and solutions that can be applied by users.
From my research, this is a fairly common issue in the Microsoft Teams mobile app, especially when multiple accounts are signed in on the same device. These “ghost” notification badges usually point to stale push notification data or sync inconsistencies between the mobile app and the service.
Since you’ve already tried clearing the cache, clearing app data, and reinstalling the app, please try the following additional steps:
1.Sign out of all Teams accounts completely
2.Reset Teams notifications
3.Toggle badge notifications
In iPhone Settings > Apps > Teams > Notifications > turn Badges off for a few minutes, then turn it back on.
4.Check for hidden or unread activity
If none of the above solutions work, let me know in the comments for further investigation. Please note that our initial response does not always resolve the issue immediately. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I'm looking forward to your reply.
