I've been struggling for around a week or so to fix this issue using any method on the planet I could think of. Visited countless Steam forums, Reddit posts and YouTube videos, yet nothing seems to be working. I even tried making a registry entry for the Gaming Services and download a different one from a different PC (couldn't get that to work because Windows wouldn't allow me to). There just simply isn't anything else I could think of.. before I receive an answer, yes I did try to run the Gaming Services Repair Tool, yes I did uninstall it and reinstall it, yes I did run the Xbox App (logged in and even linked my steam account and tried to launch the game through the app) and finally yes I did try to verify the game files integrity and even reinstall the game. If there's any other fix any of you could think of it would be much appreciated!!!User's imageUser's imageUser's image

    Hi mat

If you’re still getting “Invalid Gaming Services Detected” after the usual repair/reinstall steps, it means Gaming Services is stuck on an older build. For Forza Horizon 6, the required version is 36.113.2002.0 or higher, while yours is stuck on 36.113.14003.0.

You can try the following to get the latest version:

    1. Uninstall Gaming Services for all users (PowerShell Admin):
         Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.GamingServices -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers

    2. Reset Microsoft Store cache:
      • Press Win + R → type: wsreset.exe
    3. Reinstall Gaming Services from the official Store listing:
    4. Update via Store Library:
      • Microsoft Store → Library → Get updates → update Gaming Services until it no longer offers an update.
    5. Confirm the version in Settings:
      • Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Gaming Services → Advanced options → verify it’s ≥ 36.113.2002.0.
