How can I resolve the "Invalid Gaming Services Detected" withing Forza Horizon 6?

I've been struggling for around a week or so to fix this issue using any method on the planet I could think of. Visited countless Steam forums, Reddit posts and YouTube videos, yet nothing seems to be working. I even tried making a registry entry for the Gaming Services and download a different one from a different PC (couldn't get that to work because Windows wouldn't allow me to). There just simply isn't anything else I could think of.. before I receive an answer, yes I did try to run the Gaming Services Repair Tool, yes I did uninstall it and reinstall it, yes I did run the Xbox App (logged in and even linked my steam account and tried to launch the game through the app) and finally yes I did try to verify the game files integrity and even reinstall the game. If there's any other fix any of you could think of it would be much appreciated!!! User's image

If you’re still getting “Invalid Gaming Services Detected” after the usual repair/reinstall steps, it means Gaming Services is stuck on an older build. For Forza Horizon 6, the required version is 36.113.2002.0 or higher, while yours is stuck on 36.113.14003.0.

You can try the following to get the latest version:

Uninstall Gaming Services for all users (PowerShell Admin):

   Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.GamingServices -AllUsers | Remove-AppxPackage -AllUsers

Reset Microsoft Store cache:
- Press Win + R → type: wsreset.exe
Reinstall Gaming Services from the official Store listing:
- Install from: Gaming Services (Microsoft Store)
Update via Store Library:
- Microsoft Store → Library → Get updates → update Gaming Services until it no longer offers an update.
Confirm the version in Settings:
- Settings → Apps → Installed apps → Gaming Services → Advanced options → verify it’s ≥ 36.113.2002.0.

I have tried that countless times, and no matter what I do it's always stuck on the same version.. Microsoft Store doesn't offer me any updates for the app saying it's all up to date which it really isn't. Anything else I could try?

If Gaming Services is stuck on an older version and the Store won’t offer updates, it’s usually a Store provisioning/update channel issue, not a normal install problem.

Since you’ve already tried reinstalling, the only remaining things you can try are:

Test in a new Windows user profile

Create a new local user

Sign in → open Microsoft Store → install Gaming Services

If it updates correctly there, your original profile is the problem

In-place Windows repair (most reliable fix)

Download latest Windows ISO

Run setup → choose Keep files and apps

This refreshes all Store apps and system registrations without wiping data

Hey, so the windows repair I have already tried to no avail, as for the new user profile I just gave it a try and it seems to install the same version of the services I'm currently at on my main profile. Is there like a way I could transfer the correct Gaming Services version from a different PC to mine? Or perhaps any other fix?

Still no answer from forza support yet... Im going to wait a few more days, otherwise i will have to refund the game on Steam :/
