    Hi!

Windows is unable to validate your account. In the Xbox app or Microsoft Store, click your user profile icon > Sign out of your account > Restart your computer > Sign back in to the apps.

You can also try signing out and signing back in to your Windows account. This may resolve temporary synchronization issues.

    1. Open Windows Settings > Accounts > Your info > Under Microsoft account, click Sign in as a local account.
    2. Click Next > Enter your email or Windows login password.
    3. Enter your user information > Next > Sign out and finish.
    4. After unlinking your email account from Windows, restart your PC > When it starts, relink your email account.

Follow these steps in order to resolve the sign-in error when starting Forza Horizon on Windows 11:

    1. Restart the PC
      • A restart can clear temporary system errors that affect sign-in and connectivity.
      • If updates are pending, choose Update and restart so Windows and Xbox components are fully updated.
    2. Verify Windows can sign in normally
      • Make sure it is possible to sign in to Windows with the usual account.
      • If sign-in issues occur at the Windows level, use Safe Mode to test:
        1. On the sign-in screen, select Power > Restart while holding Shift.
        2. Go to Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart.
        3. Press 5 or F5 for Safe Mode with Networking and sign in there.
      • If Safe Mode works, sign in, check for Windows Updates, then restart normally and try the game again.
    3. Confirm Microsoft Store / Xbox app account alignment
      • Open Microsoft Store and ensure it is signed in with the same Microsoft account used for Xbox / Forza.
      • If there is an account mismatch between Store and Xbox app, clear the Store cache and re‑sign in:
        1. Close Microsoft Store.
        2. Open Command Prompt as administrator and run wsreset.exe.
        3. When Microsoft Store reopens, sign in with the account that will be used in the Xbox app.
        4. Reset the Xbox app from Settings > Apps > Installed apps > Xbox > Advanced options > Reset.
        5. Launch the Xbox app and sign in with the same account, then start Forza again.
    4. Update Gaming Services and Xbox app (if needed)
      • Ensure Gaming Services and the Xbox app are up to date, as outdated components can cause sign‑in and connectivity errors.
      • If problems persist, remove and reinstall Gaming Services and the Xbox app using the documented PowerShell steps for Gaming Services and Xbox app repair, then try launching the game again.

If the error continues after these steps, use the Microsoft account sign-in helper and general Microsoft account sign-in troubleshooting to rule out account‑side issues, then try again.
