How to get more secure cloud storage that I paid for

I received messages that I had used 92% of my cloud storage. Six weeks ago, I purchased Microsoft 365 Personal online for one year for $99.99, which was supposed to give me 1T of additional storage. I continue to get messages that I've used 92% of cloud storage. Can you help me?

    Hello

If you go to www.onedrive.com > Sign into the correct account, does it show 1TB?

If it doesn't, you need to contact Microsoft support because the provision can be wrong.

To get help, open the "Get Help" app on your computer (just search for it in the Start menu). or go to https://support.microsoft.com/contactus, Type "Billing" and press Enter. On the next screen, click "Contact support" at the bottom of the page, then choose "Microsoft 365" > "Manage my subscription". You’ll then see the option to chat with a Microsoft support agent who has access to your account to help review the issue.

The Microsoft 365 Personal subscription includes 1 TB of cloud storage, but there are two common reasons why messages still show high usage and how to fix them.

    1. Confirm the new storage quota is applied
    • Sign in to the Microsoft storage page and check your total quota and usage. Once signed in, select the Microsoft storage section to see details of:
      • Total storage available
      • How much is used by OneDrive, Outlook.com, and other services.
    • If the subscription was just added, it can take up to 24 hours for the new quota to show across all services.
    1. Check if OneDrive is still over quota Even with 1 TB, OneDrive can still be near full if there are many files, photos, or items in the Recycle Bin.
    • Go to Manage your OneDrive storage to see what is taking up space and to empty the Recycle Bin.
    • If OneDrive is over quota:
      • Files become read-only and new uploads/syncs are blocked until usage is reduced or more storage is added.
      • Outlook.com email can also be blocked when Microsoft cloud storage is exceeded.
    1. If storage still looks wrong after purchase If the quota still shows almost full or does not reflect the 1 TB after waiting:
    • Unlink and re-link the OneDrive account on the PC to force it to refresh the account and quota information. See Unlink and re-link OneDrive for steps.
    • In some reported cases, unlinking OneDrive, deleting at least one file, and then relinking caused the storage status to update correctly.
    1. If you are still over quota If, after the subscription is correctly applied, the storage page shows that usage is genuinely high (close to 1 TB):
    • Either delete files (including from the OneDrive Recycle Bin) or
    • Buy additional OneDrive storage if more space is needed.

If the quota has not updated after 48 hours and OneDrive still shows incorrect storage, contact Microsoft support as indicated in the OneDrive storage help.
