Hello,

This command:

VisualStudioSetup.exe --layout C:\VS.NET --add Microsoft.VisualStudio.Workload.ManagedDesktop --add Microsoft.Net.ComponentGroup.TargetingPacks.Common --add Microsoft.VisualStudio.Component.DiagnosticTools --lang en-US

Will result in:

Visual Studio Setup Layout Tool, version 3.6.2115.31769
c Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.
Error: An item with the same key has already been added.

Any advise? :(

    Hello @Peter Volz ,

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

    Looks there’s something wrong with the bootstrapper that you are using. I guess you downloaded VS bootstrapper from here: Downloads right? If so, as a current workaround, please kindly directly download and use the bootstrapper from here: Download the Visual Studio bootstrapper to create the layout.
