Hi all, (THIS REPLACES MY COMMENT FROM SEPTEMBER, BETTER SOLUTION)
we had not exactly same cases but our office apps crashed after few seconds open. What you might try if not already done is to rename the following two folders:
%appdata%\Roaming\Microsoft\Office folder to Old_office (or whatever) same with
    %appdata%\Local\Microsoft\Office to Old_office (or whatever)
next time you fire up an office app it will recreate the folder. The addins might get lost most likely:
If you have another device you can go ahead and dame path as before and then under office you might probably just rename Excel if that folder exists to see if Excel does work after. I just renamed the whole office Folder (done this for several users at work) and so far no comlains.

    Hi,

Did you get any error messages when Office crash?

Did this problem appear in all Office products?

    When did Office crash?

How did you remove the Office? Did remove it from Contral Panel directly?

Try to remove firewalls and anti-virus software and check if this issue is still existed.

Then I suggest you open it in safe mode running the following command: Press Win + R, type XXXX /safe in the blank box, press Enter.

For Excel: Type excel /safe, and click OK.

For Outlook: Type outlook /safe, and click OK.

For Word: Type winword /safe, and click OK.

For PowerPoint: Type powerpnt /safe, and click OK.

For Publisher: Type mspub /safe, and click OK.

For Visio: Type visio /safe, and click OK.

If it works fine in safe mode, please check the add-ins in your excel and disable them.

Click File > Options > Add-Ins on the left side of the dialog. Then click the drop-down arrow at the bottom of the dialog box and select "COM Add-Ins" from the list, then click the GO button. What comes up is a list of COM-Add Ins that are loaded and running.

If you remove Office from Contral Panel directly, I suggest you download the Office tool to help you remove Office from PC completely and re-install it:

    Hi,

Well, in the case of a crash, there can be several reasons. Here are some methods how you can troubleshoot and fix the issue-

    1. See if the crashes stop after trying to disable any add-ins from third parties. This can be done by starting Excel in safe mode, going to File > Options > Add-Ins from the Office app, and managing the add-ins from there.
    2. Go to File > Options > Advanced and uncheck the box next to "Disable hardware graphics acceleration" in the Display section to disable the hardware graphics acceleration feature.
    3. Office apps can be compromised by some third-party software, such as antivirus programs or system utilities. Disable or uninstall such software for a while to see if the crashes still happen.
    4. To ensure that Office 365 runs smoothly on your computer, make sure it complies with the system requirements. Performance issues and crashes can be caused by insufficient memory, disc space, or CPU power.

If these methods don't work, try following this article to fix your crashing issue.

Note- The article may get changed or updated in the future...

    Best Regards.
