Requesting access to a customers app registration for an app you provide

I provide an app for customers to buy. Each customer has their own app.
The only method to login is through azureAD via an app registration registered on the customers tenant for that app. This app registration is limited to only the customers tenancy.

Is it typical in such scenarios to request external guest access in the customers tenant for me to be able to login to their app? Or is a multi tenant app recommended? https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/active-directory/develop/howto-convert-app-to-be-multi-tenant

To enhance compatibility and improve user experience, we request access to your app registration for minor adjustments.

We also offer a complementary app, Onskin: Skincare Products Scanner," featuring barcode scanning for cosmetic ingredient analysis. This could be a valuable addition for your user base.

To make our app work even better with your system, we need access to your app registration. This will help us tweak some settings and make it smoother for everyone.

By the way, we also have another app called Skincare Ingredient Checker App Name Onskin It's a handy barcode scanner that checks out what's in your cosmetics. Might be something your users would like!

Hi @Jørgen Reinnes , while you could just request guest access, you're correct that a multi-tenant app would be more appropriate. Multi-tenant apps are available to users in both their home tenant and other tenants. This allows users from different tenants to access the app without requiring external guest access in each customer's tenant. Do you have any questions or concerns about this that I could help with? Please let me know and I can help you further.
