Why won't my Microsoft account send news post emails and SharePoint links from SharePoint any more?

I use SharePoint News Posts to send pages as an email directly to my Outlook inbox, then forward to a larger group of people as a newsletter. (screenshot attached). About two weeks ago, when I 'Send as Email' I get a pop-up that says "email sent!", but I do not receive anything in my inbox. This is the same for sharing a page directly from SharePoint (a shared link sent to someone's email). Nothing is sent when I send/share from my account.

I made no changes to my account, and IT at my company cannot figure it out either. When a coworker of mine sends the same news post as an email, it comes to my inbox. It has to be something with my account, but I cannot figure it out.

    Hi @Sarah O ,

Thank you for posting in this community.

It seems that your Microsoft account is not sending news post emails and SharePoint links from SharePoint anymore. This could be due to a change in the settings of your Microsoft 365 group, which may be blocking external email addresses by default. To resolve this, you can change the settings of the Microsoft 365 group to allow email messages from external addresses. You can follow the steps outlined in the following reference: Notifications sent to SharePoint sites connected to Microsoft 365 groups aren’t received.
