How do I make sure my Azure account isn't billed at the end of the Free period. Can I cancel it now?

Hi,

I signed up for a free Azure account but want to make sure that I do not get automatically charged at the end of the first 12 months. I cannot find any account cancel or deletion options and there doesn't seem to be a number or email to speak with anyone. Can someone please help. Thank you.

    Hello Brad M,

    Thanks for your question.

You wont be charged unless you move to a pay as you go subscription.

We’ll never charge you unless you decide to move to pay-as-you-go pricing. If you move to pay as you go, you’ll only be charged for services that you use above the free monthly amounts. You can check your usage of free services in the Azure portal.

The above is documented here: https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/purchase-options/azure-account#:~:text=How%20do%20I%20ensure%20that,services%20in%20the%20Azure%20portal.

To check your free service usage, see Check usage of free services included with Azure free Account.

To avoid charges see the document here: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/cost-management-billing/manage/avoid-charges-free-account
