Can you please explain me (What is difference between Activity logs and resource logs) in easy way with real time example. Thanks

Azure Activity Logs:

The Azure Monitor Activity Log is a platform log that provides insight into subscription-level events. The Activity Log includes information like when a resource is modified or a virtual machine is started.

Azure Resource Logs:

Azure resource logs are platform logs that provide insight into operations that are performed in an Azure resource. The content of resource logs is different for each resource type.

Source: Send Azure resource logs to Log Analytics workspaces, Event Hubs, or Azure Storage

Hi, If activity logs works on subscription level then why activity logs are showing on resource group or other resources?

Hi @HASSAN BIN NASIR DAR ,

the Activity Log is based on subscription level.

If you click on the Activity Log of a Resource Group it is the same Activity Log of the Subscription but with a filter on the Resource Group name.

Same is for other Azure resources -> Filter on Resource Group and Resource name.
