WSUS server show all updates as "Not applicable"

Hello,

I have a problem with a WSUS server.

In the WSUS console, all clients are showing 100% installation but they should not. Furthermore, all patches are seen are not applicable to all clients.

However, I know that some clients are not fully patched with December updates.

Synchronization of WSUS server with Microsoft update works normally (the new updates are shown in the console but not applicable).

Client connections to WSUS server are OK.

Superseded updates are automatically declined by a script to keep the DB clean.

If I try to install update directly with the client then it install without any problem.

Actually everything looks OK except that updates are considered as not applicable.

The WSUS servers in running Windows Server 2022, the other client servers as well.

Could you help me with this? Thank you!

    Hello,

In case this could help someone, I found the solution. After a security assessment following policies had been set :

    • 'Select when Preview Builds and Feature Updates are received' to 180 days
    • Select when Quality Updates are received' to 0 days

Defining both policies creates conflicts and causes Windows Updates to be delayed

After setting back those policies to 'Not configured' the problem is resolved
