Dear @Stenson, Herbert H

Thank you for contacting Microsoft Q&A Support.

After checking your concern, I have tried to research in all material documents from any resources and I confirm that New Outlook still has limited support for third-party COM add-ins. More information, see: Feature comparison between new Outlook and classic Outlook - Microsoft Support User's image Therefore, if you really want to use Caldav in Outlook, I suggest you switch back to Classic Outlook which is available for COM add-ins and retry with the Caldav. Also, I would like to re-confirm that New Outlook is currently not supportive for COM add-ins third-party service including Caldav.

Seriously, I know you want to lock people in to using MS products for the email client, but people use multiple calendars and need connections like caldav to link their calendars.

I have been a MS product user for over 25 years, but between this and the Win11 TPM requirement and pushing CoPilot is making most of the MS userbase change to Linux, Thunderbird, and LibreOffice. They are not as great as the current MS software suit, but if enough users switch then they will at least listen to their users and add the features people want/need.

fyi, Thunderbird supports CalDav natively and you can easily connect your email client and calendar.

There is another problem with Calendars in the New Outlook.

In Classic Outlook, a calendar invite sent to an IMAP account would be saved in the default calendar, i.e., my default Outlook.com calendar.

In the New Outlook, that invite is saved to a local calendar connected to the IMAP account. I can't even copy the event between Calendars.

We should at least have an option to save all calendar invites to the default calendar regardless of account.
