The "Schedule Send" option is not present when I click on the down arrow to the right of the send button. The only options available are "Send" and "Start mail merge". How do schedule an email to be delivered at a later time?

What kind of account are you using? This feature is only available for Exchange mailboxes, not supported for POP3/IMAP. Classic Outlook uses a different mechanism, which was supported by more account types.

    Hi @Alvin Franklin

Thank you for getting in touch. I understand it can be a bit confusing when you're using the New Outlook but don't see the Schedule Send option as expected. It's truly puzzling when a feature you need seems to be missing.

From what we’ve seen, the Schedule Send feature is typically available for certain account types such as Outlook.com, Microsoft 365, or Exchange-based accounts.

In some cases, if your account is connected through IMAP, POP, or certain external providers, the option may be intentionally hidden. This is a current limitation based on how these account types are supported in the New Outlook.

But don't worry, even if the direct Schedule Send button isn't there, you can still schedule your email. There’s still a way to delay your email using a built-in feature called Delay Delivery. Here’s how:

    • Open a new email message and compose your email as usual.
    • Click on the Options tab in the ribbon at the top of the email window.
    • In the More options section (sometimes shown as three dots), select Delay Delivery.

    • In the Properties box, tick the box next to Do not deliver before.
    • Set the exact date and time you want your email to be sent.
    • Click Close on the Properties box, then click the regular Send button on your email.

Important Note: For your email to be sent at the scheduled time using Delay Delivery, your Outlook application must remain open until that time. If Outlook is closed, the message will stay in your Outbox and won't be sent until you open the app again.

I hope these steps help you get that email out exactly when you need it. Please reply if anything is unclear or if the button still isn’t showing up, I’ll be glad to keep troubleshooting until it’s resolved.
