Hi @John Mahlmeister
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum.
I completely understand your frustration with the new home page. It can be very disruptive when a familiar interface that you rely on suddenly changes. Please know that your feedback is valid, and you are not alone in preferring the classic view with the apps on the left and recent documents front and center.
The reason for this shift is Microsoft's deep integration of Copilot across all its products. The goal is to position Copilot as a helpful AI assistant right at your fingertips, designed to make tasks like searching for information, summarizing content, and creating new documents much faster. While the intention is to enhance productivity in the long run, we recognize that the initial adjustment can be unfamiliar for long-time users like yourself.
The good news is that all your familiar tools are still just one click away. You can find the classic list of your apps (Word, Excel, etc.) by clicking the App Launcher icon, which is located in the top-left corner of the page. Your recent documents should also be accessible from there.
I hope this context helps explain the change. We truly appreciate you sharing your experience.
