How to get back to the O365 home page that existed before Microsoft jammed copilot down our throats

I think this is self-explanatory as I have seen many people complain about Copilot being chosen for us as our home page. I much prefer the home page that has my apps on the left, recently used documents on the screen, etc.

Hi John, use: https://onedrive.live.com/ (The OneDrive on my taskbar directs me to that address) I only get the Copilot webpage if I am directed there on a Microsoft webpage, like reinstall Office...

Your efforts to improve the application are incredibly frustrating. Every time you do this I spend a huge amount of time finding out why the application I was using, familiar with, and effective is now out of my control. You are not doing me any favors with these "improvements'>

I just spent 70 mins unsuccessfully trying to sign in to M365 and caught in a cycle of ending up at Co-pilot with every sign in attempt unsuccessful. I am on a macbook.

I changed my office.com bookmark to the onedrive startpage url, that is pretty close to the old startpage but has no good short url.

    Hi @John Mahlmeister

Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I completely understand your frustration with the new home page. It can be very disruptive when a familiar interface that you rely on suddenly changes. Please know that your feedback is valid, and you are not alone in preferring the classic view with the apps on the left and recent documents front and center.

The reason for this shift is Microsoft's deep integration of Copilot across all its products. The goal is to position Copilot as a helpful AI assistant right at your fingertips, designed to make tasks like searching for information, summarizing content, and creating new documents much faster. While the intention is to enhance productivity in the long run, we recognize that the initial adjustment can be unfamiliar for long-time users like yourself.

The good news is that all your familiar tools are still just one click away. You can find the classic list of your apps (Word, Excel, etc.) by clicking the App Launcher icon, which is located in the top-left corner of the page. Your recent documents should also be accessible from there.

I hope this context helps explain the change. We truly appreciate you sharing your experience.
