Task manager not showing any process!

Press Windows + X keys.

Click on Command Prompt (Admin).

Copy and paste the command below:

SFC /scannow

Hit Enter to execute the command. It may take a few minutes to complete. If you find Verification 100% complete, click X to close the Command Prompt.

Reboot the PC for the changes to take effect.

If that does not work, open Start > Settings > Time & Language

Click Region & language

In the Country or region list box, choose United states

Restart then check if Task Manager is working again.

In Task Manager, if you click View - Refresh Now, does the list of processes update?

If so, check View - Update Speed, is it set to normal?

No, update doesn't show anything.

I've done what suggested then I left the pc unattended for a while (about 3 hours) and that issue was there again.

I discovered that if I disconnected and reconnected from my account I solved.

But I don't understand why some times the task manager is empty.

Actually I am reluctant to create a new account since I am afraid it will spoil my pc with useless folders, moreover I don't know how to set up ad administrator user.

I noticed that the issue comes up only when I leave my pc unattended for a few hours.

So if I disconnect from my account and reconnect I can correctly view task manager list.

Well whenever I'll see an empty task manager I'll disconnect and reconnect.
