Remote Desktop not expanding screen to second monitor in version 1.2.5105.0

Today 2024/01/11, I updated the version of the remote desktop application to 1.2.5105.0, when I started using it I noticed that it was no longer expanding the screen to my number 1 monitor, even though I selected this in the settings (print). As I didn't want to change the organization of my screens, I tried several ways to get the application to expand the screen to this monitor. Still, without success, so I had to install a previous version for the feature to work again. Can you tell me if this can be fixed in a future version?

Thank god, I thought I was going mad. I have exactly the same problem since upgrading to version 1.2.5105.0

I have 3 screens and I select screen 2 and 3 for display output in the remote desktop app, however when I connect to the remote desktop, screens 1 and 2 are used.

I have tried every single combination of settings but it will not display the desktop on screens 2 and 3.

Interestingly if you select just a single display to output, it will display on each monitor as intended, the issue is when selecting multiple monitors.

Exactly, my same situation. I believe that we will not be able to find solutions here, as this is a specific problem with the new version according to all reports. But if anyone knows what channel we can use to pass this on to the application's support team, I would be very grateful. I made this same report at https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1490819/remote-desktop-not-expanding-screen-to-second-moni?page=1#answer-1419153. I hope you can resolve this!

    Hello,

we have a similar problem since version 1.2.5105.0. The user has 3 screens and select screen 2 and 3 for Remote Desktop connection. But when he connects to AVD screen 1 and 2 are used.

    Best regards,
    Marco

    Hello HiltonJrLucas,

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

In response to your questions here, we regret that the response community may not be able to answer you because we are not the developer of the software.

At the same time, the issue of remote desktop application usage is beyond the support of the response community. If you really want to get an expert answer, then this question should be posted to Microsoft Learn, our advanced technology forum, where there are experts in this field who may be able to give you some answers to this question.

You can click "Ask a question" in the corresponding section to ask a question.

But I think you've actually gotten some results from testing, and this seems to be a problem only in the new release, right? I don't think developers will turn a blind eye to it, they are responsible and will fix it in a future update, but I think they need to know about it first, so it's a good idea to give feedback through thefeedback Center. Posting on Microsoft Learn can also bring the situation to the development team's attention quickly.
