If my PC doesn't support Windows 11, what am I supposed to do when Windows 10 hits EOL

I have a first gen Ryzen 7 and no reason to upgrade it. It is a perfectly good CPU, and it does everything I need. It runs my games and runs them well. I feel like it's a bit of an oversight (that or Microsoft just doesn't care and wants to force you into buying new things) that perfectly operable machines are about to be left in the dust just because not enough people want to switch to the shiny new thing that Microsoft is offering us. It is greatly disappointing that MS is choosing this path instead of understanding not everyone can get or wants to get a compatible PC. What am I meant to do here if I don't want to upgrade hardware, but I want to still remain in support?

What detailed result do you get from

GitHub - rcmaehl/WhyNotWin11: Detection Script to help identify why your PC is not Windows 11 Release Ready. Now Supporting Update Checks!

The download and sample screenshot are part way down the webpage. You can post back a screenshot if you wish.

As per the other post, you can still use Windows 10 but there will no longer be security updates so if you use Defender AV you will need to find an alternative. Or you buy extended support.

Using Windows 11 on hardware that is not fully supported is possible but may cause issues in the future.

    Hi ,

I am Ivan, I will help you with this.

Unfortunately, there is no direct answer according to the information today you can install Windows 11 even if you do not have the requirements requested by Microsoft, however after the end of support for Windows 10 unfortunately Microsoft will no longer have technical support, security and updates.

In this case, I would recommend updating the hardware as soon as possible, but Windows 10 will still be working even after the end of support, but it may be possible to extend support to Windows 10, however the payment would be ESU according to the reference link.

If you have first generation Ryzen and your motherboard can have TPM, you can try installing Windows 11 without any requirements.

    Hope this helps.
