Hello! i have multiple problems that have arisen after getting a new pc and installing windows update 24H2 through the regular windows update tool.
I experienced a PC crash while playing For Honor (a game with anticheat) and am unsure if this was caused by the broken updates instability with anti cheat.
And another game, assassins creed origins, is unable to function entirely as it freezes within 10-~120 seconds after launch.
Unfortunately i no longer have the option to rollback, and am hoping for a solution to these problems!

Similar thing I cleaned installed windows 11 after having 11 (which upgraded from 10 just fine yrs ago) but the 24h2 ver is really buggy with a lot of bsods and even messed up Roblox because of the anticheat on there. I managed to fix it by changing the date to be set manually instead of Microsoft finding your location so try that maybe it might fix your game. Anyways i'm gonna go back to 10 for the meantime so at least no updates can break anything.

Unfortunately multiple games I play require the anti cheat so I can’t just uninstall it.
The incompatibility seems to be caused by the windows 24H2 update, is there any known date for when 24H2s bugs will be fixed? The update seems wildly unstable if it’s crashing my PC and preventing games from even loading
I downloaded the Windows 24H2 update yesterday, and it turned my computer into a trash can. Changing the refresh rate in the Nvidia Control Panel, adjusting refresh rates and graphics settings in games—all of it caused a black screen for at least 5-10 seconds. A CATASTROPHIC UPDATE. The computer became slow! I have an i7-12700K processor and an RTX 3090 graphics card supported by 64GB of DDR4, but this update destroyed a large part of my computer’s potential. Now I reverted to 23H2, and the computer works brilliantly! Why on earth does Microsoft release something so devastatingly broken?! Ridiculous! In addition, while switching between screens—I have 4 screens—the computer itself changed the refresh rate, even though I had set 144 Hz on all of them. I was in a game at 144 Hz and moved to another screen, which was also set to 144 Hz, but Windows changed it to 60 Hz for about 10 seconds, which again caused a black screen!
I also have issues with my Windows 11 PC now. Got the 24H2 update a few days ago. But I also had some issues with latest BIOS upgrade during past weeks. But I am now back to the last working BIOS version and on the settings I usually have.
With these settings I did plenty of stability tests in 3dMark, OCCT etc. I also played games like Horizon Forbidden West or Jurassic World Evolution for hours in a row without issues during 2023 and 2024.
Now (since the Windows Update possibly?) I have constant crashes in Jurassic World Evolution, I cannot run any Directx11/12 stability test like Fire Strike without crashing after a view loops.
I even had this Kernel BSOD already now. I did a fresh install of NVIDIA driver with uninstall option already. But no changes.
What’s the recommendation? Do a fresh install of Windows 11 and skip 24H2? As I deleted Update data already with disk cleanup I will do a fresh install of prev version anyway and see whether it changes anything.

No official announcement has been released by Microsoft regarding the resolution timeline for this issue but Microsoft recommend updating your games. It might help address this issue, depending on whether a compatible version of Easy Anti-Cheat is also included in the game’s update.
You can also submit feedback to Microsoft, hopefully they can fix it very soon.
