How can we share a folder for multiple VMs in Azure

What is the best approach to share a folder for multiple VMs in AZure? All VMs and the data disk are in the same resource group.

    @MikeZheng-3371 Welcome to Microsoft Q&A Forum , Thank you for posting your query here!

    In Azure Resource Manager "Storage Account" you can create a Network File Share that can be Mounted as a Drive to multiple VM's or to computers and devices not on Azure for both Unix, Linux and Windows.

    In General, go to your Gpv2 Storage Account ➡ Files ➡ Create Fileshare ➡ Name the Share and the Disk Space Quota ➡ Click Connect to obtain the command or windows or linux to mount the share to the respective devices.

    Note: Port 445 to be opened. ( If port 445 blocked, please refer to this article)

    Hi @MikeZheng-3371 ,
    SMB and NFS shares can be used between multiple VMs.
    If it's windows my first choice would be SMB, if it's linux I'd choose NFS.
