How do I get rid of it?

Hi! I had the same issue. Fixed it like this:

    1. Close Teams (right-click the taskbar icon, 'Close Teams' and then 'Close window')
    2. Go to Settings > Apps > Installed apps
    3. Search Microsoft Teams (make sure you get the correct one, new or 'classic')
    4. Click the 3 dots and select Advanced option
    5. Scroll down and click the [Repair] button and wait until it's done
    6. Reboot teams and it is goooooooooooone!

    Dear s-shafiq

    Greetings.

Please try to move your task bar to the bottom >Restart your PC and Teams then move it back to the top.

    • Unlock the taskbar (Right-click on the blank space on the taskbar and click on Lock the taskbar to disable it. Make sure after the click; there is no checkmark next to ‘Lock the taskbar) and drag it to the bottom.
    • If there's no space while the task bar is at the top or bottom, quit teams and restart your PC.
    • Then drag back the taskbar to the top.

If the issue persists, you may have to uninstall and re-install the teams app. Download Microsoft Teams Desktop and Mobile Apps | Microsoft Teams

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best Regards,

    Ashraf.

    Hello Ashraf,

    1. May I know the windows version you are running? Is it windows 10 or 11? Windows 10 Enterprise.
    2. Did you move your task bar to show at the top of the screen? Yes, my taskbar is located at the top of the screen.
    3. Also, does this line only show when you expand the teams app or with other applications as well? This line ONLY shows when the MS Teams app is fully maximised. Other apps work as normal when fully maximised.

I tried the reset and also deleted the cache as described above. This did not solve the problem.

    Hello s-shafiq

    Thank you for reaching out.

I'm sorry to hear that you are facing this issue with the MS Teams app. Please let me know of the following to better assist. Thanks in advance.

    1. May I know the windows version you are running? Is it windows 10 or 11?
    2. Did you move your task bar to show at the top of the screen?
    3. Also, does this line only show when you expand the teams app or with other applications as well?

In the meantime, please try to reset the app and check if there is any difference.

    1. If Teams is still running, right-click the Teams icon on the taskbar, and then select Quit.
    2. Type settings in the search box, and then select the Settings app from the results.
    3. Select Apps > Installed apps, and then type Microsoft Teams in the search box.
    4. Locate the New Microsoft Teams app from the results, select the More options button (...) on the right, and then select Advanced options.
    5. In the Reset section, select Reset.
    6. Restart Teams.

You may also clear the teams temporary/cached files that might affect the app functionality. Clear Teams cache - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best Regards,

    Ashraf.
