I created a new Teams Channel on 2/18/25 and noticed that the emails in which I use the Teams email address are only doing to Posts. With previous Teams Channel creation, a file named Emailmessages_1_2025 was created and all Outlook emails including that specific email address directly went into that folder. All of that stopped on 2/1/2025. Did MS make some type of change? Keep in mind, I have not changed the names for any Teams Channels.

On our side it looks like it is fixed. When i open a mail with the button it works.
Probably Microsoft fixed it in the past. My Teams client is 25072.1611.3570.1995
ah but Microsoft doesn't create the folder in the old place. They moved it to another space:
Documents > Apps > Microsoft Teams Mailhook
and there is a folder for each channel and then a folder for each month/year.

This is a problem we have also. It would be helpful to see a fix for it as soon as possible.
Dear Lois,
Good day!
Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are glad to assist!
Based on your description regarding "New Teams Channel not automatically creating an EmailMessage folder ". After thorough research and testing, it looks like you're experiencing an issue that has been reported by other users as well. we have received a number of requests on this, and the team is currently looking in the situation. Therefore, I will update this thread as soon as I get any additional information about the query and the fix timeline.
Also, if you are an organization admin, you can also raise a service request to report this symptom to our online channel through the Microsoft 365 admin center if you have the permissions. A support agent can further connect with you remotely, for further troubleshooting and involve the backend team where need be. Get support for Microsoft 365 for business -- Online support.
Alternatively, I did find similar request in the feedback forum Better documentation regarding changes to capturing "EmailMessages_" in Teams · Community I have asked my team to vote, and you may upvote for this if it is in line with your requirement. Otherwise, I suggest you report the issue as well by going to Feedback in your Teams app and Report Problem. This tool allows you to describe the feature in detail and submit it directly to our product development team for review. I will do the same on my end.
Please note that us as the community team and the Microsoft product development team are separate. The product development team is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Microsoft products. They work on implementing new features, fixing bugs, and making improvements based on user feedback and other factors.
I will also revert back when I get more info on this. Your patience and cooperation are much appreciated.
