How to delete a custom emoji in Teams?

Today I created a custom emoji in Teams not realising that the organisation I work in can see it?!!

I can’t delete it, and apparently no one in the organisation has admin rights. Is there any other way to get rid of it?

It would be better if anyone who could create a custom emoji were also able to delete them!!!

@David ThomasLL, you should provide an admin in your organization with the Teams admin role to edit the settings in MS Teams.

For the custom emoji's the settings in our environment were by default set to:

    • Upload custom emoijis: On
    • Delete custom emojis: Off

As mentioned, someone who is Teams admin can change these settings in the Messaging settings in the Microsoft Teams admin center. Your Global admin should be able to manage the required role in Azure.
