New teams is the absolute worst

It started off okay but within a month went to ****. My screen flickers all the time which really messes with my epilepsy. My jobs IT department has un-installed, reinstalled, deleted files, changed all kinds of settings. They've literally done all they can and it still flickers with no resolve.

Then today my headset mute button stopped worked. I have 3 headsets here, two of which are new. Only the mute in teams works and that likes to turn itself off whenever it wants. We again, un-installed and reinstalled and I restarted, tried the different headsets. Nothing has worked.

I'm unable to use classic teams so I really hope they get this fixed. I need to be able to use teams for work, but considering the flickering is very triggering, I don't know how much longer I can stick it out.

IT has already tried all of the troubleshoot issues you mentioned as we both had been searching your website for a resolution. I currently am waiting to hear back from escalations to hopefully get a resolution.

    Dear BeccaXN,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

I’m really sorry to hear about the issues you’re facing with Microsoft Teams. It sounds incredibly frustrating, especially given how critical it is for your work and health. I went over this thread and did some further research. In addition to the steps you have tried, please try:

    1. Disabling GPU Hardware Acceleration: Open Microsoft Teams > Click on your profile picture and go to Settings > Under General, uncheck the box for "Disable GPU hardware acceleration" then restart Teams.
    2. Clearing Teams Cache: Close Teams > Delete the cache files located in %appdata%\Microsoft\Teams > Restart Teams.
    3. Updating Graphics Drivers: Ensure your graphics drivers are up to date by visiting your computer or graphics card manufacturer’s website2.

If the issues persist, it might be worth reaching out to Microsoft Support directly for more specialized assistance. In this situation, we suggest you reach out to your organization admin and ask them to open a ticket at the higher-level support team: Go to Office 365 Admin Center (Admin permission is needed) > Support > New Service Request. The support engineers there have the correct escalation channel, and this is the most efficient way to report such issue. You can refer to Get support - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Learn. The engineers in related team have higher permission and resources than here, they can report bugs to the product team as well.

I hope the information helps! If there is any update or I misunderstand you, please feel free to let me know. I will continue to assist you. Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated.

Thanks for your precious time. Have a nice day.
